Separation issues involved in leaving a child to return to work; coping with the stress of competing work and home life demands; managing feelings of anxiety and guilt; assessment for postpartum depression; referrals to treatment if necessary; handling sleep deprivation; single parenting issues.Resources and Referrals:
Parenting books and websites; information on infant and child development; information on FMLA; information about workplace benefits for new parents; childcare referrals; referrals to pediatricians and other specialists; referrals to lactation consultants; Interview questions for nannies, babysitters, and child care centers; referrals and information on how to evaluate daycare options.
