Concerns For A Child Or Adolescent

CompEAP can help if you are concerned about your child or teenager and are interested in counseling for one or more family members.  CompEAP’s Licensed Counselors can support you through this difficult time, make recommendations based upon what is clinically indicated, and provide referrals for counseling if appropriate.   
 
Know that you are not alone; all families face challenges.  Some of the issues about which parents call CompEAP include but are not limited to:

  • Substance misuse (alcohol, nicotine, marijuana, and other drugs)
  • Signs of depression (ex, withdrawal, low motivation, fatigue, aggression)
  • Signs of  anxiety (ex., fearful, avoiding activities, compulsions, school refusal)
  • Confusion or changes in gender identity, gender expression, or sexual orientation
  • Disordered eating 
  • Risky behavior  (ex., stealing, promiscuity, harmful social media decisions)
  • Problems with attention and focus
